So in 2007-08 the Union has moved into the 21st century and is embracing e-voting which will replace the paper ballots that have been used for the last 82 years! This means that every student, including those away from Campus will be able to vote! We hope that this will increase voter turnout and ensure that the successful candidates have the backing of as many students as possible.

How to vote

Any student eligible to vote may do so using their ISS Windows Login. If you have logged into an ISS Windows cluster machine or RAS using Internet Explorer with your student ID you are already logged in.

If you are are logged in using another ID such as a society or staff account then please select the logout option from the menu above and then login using the boxes above with your student ID. If you are using a machine off campus then simply login using the boxes above with your student ID.

Here at the Union Society we operate an "Alternative Vote System" (AV) , if your first choice candidate doesn’t win then you second or third might.tHis happens because after each round of voting the candidate with the lowest number of votes gets knocked out. Thier votes then get transerred over the the second choice candidates on the bllot. So remember to put your order of preference down on the voting page with the first choice getting no.1 and your second no.2 etc.If your first choice doesn't win then maybe your number two will!  If you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact either the President the Education officer or the Editor of the Courier who will answer almost any question about the elections.

Ready to vote?

Select the "Vote Online" tab at the top right of the voying screen at vote.ncl.ac.uk screen and get voting!
