Representation & Democracy
The primary objective of the Union Society is to represent you and ensure that you get the most out of your student experience at Newcastle, which is why from this year there is a dedicated, full-time Representation & Democracy Co-ordinator to assist you in getting your voice heard on both academic and other issues.
For details of specific areas of representation and democracy or to find out how you can get involved, please use the links on the right. For any other information, feel free to contact me on democracyrepofficer.union@ncl.ac.uk or 0191 239 3983, or pop in and see me in the Student Advice Centre on the first floor of the union building. Please see the SAC homepage for details of opening times.
You can also contact the Education Officer (education.union@ncl.ac.uk, 0191 239 3963) for academic issues or the Student Support Officer (support.union@ncl.ac.uk, 0191 239 3917) for welfare issues. In addition, the Student Advice Centre has independent, professional advisers who can deal with a huge range of problems. Please see their webpages for details.
