Job description: To build and maintain maximum exposure of the City and Finance, Engineering and Technology and Law publications in the university's Departments. You will aid all on campus activities; competitions and promotions, hand-to-hand distribution, lecture shouts out to fellow students in your department, further increasing the readership of the Digital Issues (online). You will also be given the opportunity to work with the Marketing Manager at the local Careers Events on a regular basis.
Person specification: Must be studying a Finance, Business, Engineering, Technology or Law related degree; A great organiser. Must have the ability to work under minimal supervision; A target driven individual; preferably with a sales background but not essential; Trustworthy; Must be a confident and persuasive individual and an excellent communicator and speaker; Important to have a friendly and an outgoing personality; A person with a 'can do' approach; Experience in presentations will be an advantage.

Vacancy 5519 - Temporary Brand Replenishment Assistants

Job description: The position entails replenishment of stock on the shelves, liaising with grocery staff on stock ordering issues, checking promotional compliance of stock, gaining additional display space, building displays. You will be allocated a workload close to your home, though travel on a daily basis in your own vehicle to stores up to and around an hour away may be expected. You will fill in the relevant paperwork accurately and phone in the results by touchtone on a daily basis. It is an exciting and fun project to be involved with.
Person specification: You must Have a valid EU work permit (or be an EU citizen) and Speak fluent English.
Be based in Newcastle from the 15th to 24th December 2008 and be able to work 10 days inclusive of the weekend of 20th and 21st December 2008. Have exclusive use of a motor vehicle between 15th and 24th December 2008. Be available to attend a briefing session which will last approximately half a day

Job description: Required for leaflet distribution, flyering, product sampling, product demonstrations, in store merchandising, brand experience, road shows and organising events - to more innovative and unusual ambient media campaigns including Guerrilla style media, such as legal fly postering, to street theatre marketing, buzz marketing, campaign amplification and PR stunts.

Job description: You will be required to visit leading supermarkets to test a new "Think21" Campaign. "Think21" is an initiative to reduce the instances of age restricted products being sold to underage people. You will be required to visit a local outlet and attempt to purchase alcohol and check if the appropriate questions, including proof of ID, are asked.
Person specification: You must be a bright, sensible young adult aged between 18-20 years old who would be interested in helping to research new legislation. You will also become a part of the company's Mystery Shopping Panel which means you will be able to conduct other mystery shopping visits on their behalf.

Vacancy 5135 - Student Team Members

Job description: A few teams of 3-5 students are required to assist healthcare professionals and get students and young people to take a Chlamydia Test.  The test is very simple and easy - it involves completing a short form and providing a urine sample.  Most events will take place during the day (9am-5pm) in student housing areas and halls of residence, but some will be in pubs and clubs so evening hours are also available.
Person specification: you should be Outgoing, confident, able to get on with anybody, interested in health issues and young people. you should also be Persuasive - someone who can get any 16 to 24 year olds to take a Chlamydia test and You need to be confident to talk about sexual issues with other people.  You will also be required to attend a half day training session with NHS Healthcare Professionals (paid).  Although it is not required, this would suit students who are pursuing a medical degree.
Hours of work: Max. 16 hours/week - Varies depending on the event (mainly daytimes with some evenings)
